The middle of Mallorca, the Pla, is the part of the island most visitors never see. It is farm country, with small market towns on low hills linked by quiet, narrow roads. Petra and Sineu are two of the best known, and this loop links them. Each town has a church tower you can see from miles away across the fields.

The route is 25.8 km with 219 m of climbing and a high point of 143 m. It is gently rolling rather than flat, with two long, easy rises of around 1% in the middle of the ride. The steepest kilometre, around 18 km, only reaches about 3%, and the loop finishes where it started.

Atlas rates it easy, which makes it the right route for an easy day, a recovery spin, or a structured workout that needs a steady road. It is also short enough to ride in about an hour at an endurance pace. If you are new to Atlas Indoor, it is also a gentle place to learn how your trainer responds to the road.

In Atlas Indoor you ride the real roads in 3D, with your smart trainer following the gentle rolls of the land. Ride it alone, with a computer pacer, or with club-mates as a relaxed weekday ride.

How to ride Petra and Sineu indoors

Keep it smooth and steady. The two gentle rises in the middle are long but shallow, so stay seated and keep your cadence up. This is a route for an even effort from start to finish.
